EA Denemarken onthult onbedoeld complete tracklist Brütal Legend

EA Denemarken heeft vandaag onbedoeld de gehele tracklist van Brütal Legend bekend gemaakt. Kort na het plaatsen van de lijst werd deze ook snel weer door de uitgever van de website getrokken.
In de lijst staan honderd rock-nummers vermeld, waarbij vooral opvalt dat het om veel bands uit de jaren zeventig en tachtig gaat. Vooral de bands Judas Priest, Motley Crue, Megadeth, Motorhead en Black Sabbath zijn met veel nummers in de game vertegenwoordigd.
Brütal Legend wordt ontwikkeld door Double Fine Productions en zal op 15 oktober verschijnen voor de Xbox 360 en PlayStation 3. Eerder dit jaar diende Activision een aanklacht in tegen ontwikkelaar Double Fine en uitgever Electronic Arts omdat de ontwikkelaar de rechten voor de game zou hebben doorgespeeld naar EA, terwijl Activision naar eigen zeggen recht had om de game uit te geven.
OpgegevenDouble Fine diende niet lang hierna echter een tegen-aanklacht in. Volgens de ontwikkelaar heeft Activision zelf het project opgegeven toen bleek dat het geen Guitar Hero-game zou worden, en wilden ze met het vertragen van Brütal Legend voorkomen dat deze met hun eigen muziek-games zou gaan concurreren. Vorige week werd duidelijk dat beide partijen buiten de rechtbank om tot een schikking zijn gekomen.
